So good to hear about the progress in running. Perhaps your "condition" is clearing up.
Ol' Nick is getting quite a bit of exercise. Bet he's been sleeping like a log.

Hi Al - I am feeling lots better! (lol - I suppose you want to feel it again?) Nick's always been a play-hard-sleep-hard kind of dog.
Hi Jason - I did...Gobble, Gobble!
12/1: 25 min walk/run intervals (had just planned to walk, but it was 42 degrees and still dark outside, so I wanted to get it over with) leg extensions superset with hypers x 3 shoulder work (internal and external rotations, light weight laterals, bent over flys and ohp's) leg work with bands (kick backs and to the sides) stretching

Sometimes I sleep hard, too, but more often I wake hard.
Looks like wanting to get it over with resulted in a more productive workout.

You two give new meaning to the phrase "life is hard". Thanks for always putting a smile on my face.
Catching up again - here's what I've been up to:
12/2: 30 min treadmill & elliptical
12/3: 30 min walk / lunges (walking & regular) / 1 leg KB DL’s / shoulder series / v-sits / bicycles / stretching
12/4: 30 min treadmill & elliptical
12/5: 2+ mile run at the community college, took some walk breaks, but felt better than last week’s run
12/6: 8 mile hike (3 hrs up, 2 hrs down) First hike I’ve tried, it didn’t have a lot of elevation gain but I struggled; it’ll take some time to get my endurance back. It was absolutely gorgeous out there, but so cold I didn’t stop to take any pictures.
12/8: prisoner squats / 1 leg squats (more like curtsies) / RDL’s / shoulder series / v-sits / bicycles / stretching
12/10: walking lunges / 1 leg KB DL’s / RDL’s / shoulder series / v-sits / bicycles / stretching

The workouts are looking good, and the running and completed hike prove you're making progress in the endurance arena. Hope the trend continues.
Bubba and I used to enjoy doing prisoner squats together.
What are "v-sits"?

You balance on your 'sit bones' with your knees bent and feet off the matt, so you're in a v-shape. Then, holding a medicine ball, you lean back enough to put tension on your midsection, twist to one side, touch the medicine ball to the matt, back to center, twist to the other side, touch the medicine ball to the matt, back to center...repeat. The trick is to not slouch or curl, but stay tall and make the abs hold you steady.
12/12: farmer's walks (pipes were frozen at the barn so we carried water from the house)
12/13: 3 mile walk

Merry Christmas, Colleen. Give Nick a hug for me. Give yourself one, too, while you're at it.
