Here goe's my new routine:
Planks 5 x 30 secs. BW Squats 10 x 1 Push Ups 10 x 1 Burpees 10 x 1 Assisted Pullups 10 x 1
This is a new direction for me to build core strength before touching a weight (other than my kettlebells).

Nothing like building a good base, Ben. You know, Laree did something similar. She stopped lifting completely for a month to work solely on her mobility. I might emulate the two of you after my next meet and drop the weights for a short time to concentrate on my core and mobility, then jump back into the fray and see if it helped. Even with working these two areas on a catch by catch can basis on nonlifting days, I see a difference in my squat and deadlift power.
Best of luck, and welcome aboard.

Great physiques have been built using BW rotuines only. Outstanding Rocker!! Do Thunder Rolls with the Burpees if you can or want. Joe Leinhauser of One-On-One Boxing in Tempe, Az. area has a video of it on his website! It will kick your "A"!! ;>)

Hi Guys. Been so busy with work and personal crap that I haven't really been able to post here. I am still doing the BW stuff and Kettlebells and working on building that foundational strength that I didn't so much get as a kid. The body is resilient and adaptable, I just have to take things slower now than I did years ago. Will post a new adaptation of the earlier workout from March. I am getting stronger in some areas and about the same in others. May try to incorporate some yoga exercises as well the the Thunder Rolls w Burpees that Pete suggested.

Welcome back, Ben. Just a thought: I cut & paste my IOL entry into this forum or visa versa. Saves time, and gets you the extra input.
