Just wanted to let you know, Rachel competed in her first School meet since 2006. She jumped against 14 others and placed 3rd with a 9'6" jump. Not her best, but not bad with her only weighing 122lbs and using a pole rated for 150lbs. She said she could not make it bend and had to stiff pole over the bar:))

Hey chicken little - 315 x 5 doesn't look that little to me.
Tell Rachel "nice work!"
(no comment on the stiff pole)

Tell Rach I'm proud of her. She'll be back up there in no time. May I assume her shoulder is back to 100%?
Very nice deads, Jason!!!!! I don't remember you ever doing any type other than SLDLs before.

Yes, Rach is 100%!!
Dl's were a significant part of my routine in 2005 (geez has it been that long) when I was going after the 1000lb leg press. I pulled 405 last Summer before my back went South. Now, I only deadlift when I can get to the gym on Fridays. Hit and miss:))

That's right, you did do them when you were working on your leg presses. Forgot about that, since they were overshadowed by your record effort in the target lift.

Two good ones in a row, big guy. I just started using the tri blaster this month and loved it so much I bought one.
WTF are 45* pulldowns?

I got turned onto the Tri blaster at Lori's when I was down there 2 years ago!!!
45* pulldowns--when doing the lat pulldown, simply lean back to a 45* angle and pull to the sternum just below your pecs. It not only hits high in the lats, but kicks the posterior delts into play. You can also squeeze your shoulder blades together (another scapula stabilzing movement). Two days later, I'm still enjoying DOMS in my lats and rear delts from them.

Just below the pecs, huh? Hmmmm. Never tried that, and I will be looking for a new lat exercise after the meet. I'll try it. Thanks.
Congrats on the DOMS.

The 45* pulldowns are somewhere in the pec area, it is a natural groove and I'm sure you will find it if you choose to try em.
Man, battled floods for two days, then yesterday we had wild fires. No chance to work out:))

As long as the job got done, we'll let you slide on the five pound increases. By the way, what are tri blaster pushdowns? I mean, it's not like it's on a cable or otherwise fights gravity.
