As the weather has gotten better and the blufish moved in to all of my spots, I have changed my workout. i have combined kayaking, walking , bodyweight workous and some stretch band moves. My goal is to kayak up to 5 days a week with at least one of those days in areas where I fight the tides for periods of times for heavy delt and ab workouts. On off days, including bad weather I am back to the following:5 sets to failure pullups/ chinups5 to 10 sets of pushups to failure (incline/ decline/standard.. depending on he weeks activity stretch band movements on my back doing pullovers, iron cross type movement and pulldowns.. 3 to 5 sets to failurecrunches on stability ball.. 100 per non kayak day45 minute to one hour walking as often as possible

I will add meat back into my diet after June 25th, which will make it 6 months without any..

The fishermen in my family always exaggerate.....so that means 2 sets where you list 5, 25 crunches instead of 100, walk to the mailbox and back... Sounds like great fishing and good eating!

I've been kayaking the last two days in 90 plus degrees.. It's like being cooked in a wok. But got a good workout between that and pulling in bluefish. .I thought I reinjured myself as I fought a "big 'un" as he took off behind me and I pulled him around. I thought sure it was back to the chiropractor,I was almost 2 miles from the launch area, but made it in ok. I was hurtin', but I was ok today, just muscle sore. I couldn't do any other exercises when I kayak fish like this. I need a day off.. can't wait for the weekend,I don't usually kayak on weekends, so I can rest and maybe do some pullups 14 more days and I completed my 6 months with no meat.. still can't figure why I did it...I think I need to get a life...

Well, you are getting a bit kooky.
So the blues are in pretty good? Sounds like you're having a blast.

yeah, blues are in really good in my spot , got over a dozen today up to 10lbs, got nice striper yesterday too. I brought a guy there today and he got a few 8 to 10 lb blues... I NEVER give up my spots, but made an exception for this guy... They are wrecking my body, but you're right Jason, I'd rather get beat up this way... well off to the shower, gotta get ready for bed soon.. up at 5 am again tomorrow... Fish control my brain, as they say..whatta a way to get ripped...
