Doc owes me a steak dinner from my last check up, he offered candy, I told him I wasn't that cheap.

Nice workout, Bob. No such thing as "too many big blues" though...and stop rubbing it in!

Dalej .. steak, huh ... I think maybe a 3 lb. lobster 'd be my choice
Al.. sorry to rub in the blues, but I figure I better get it in before you get back on the water and tell me how you landed those southern monsters.
log: Paddled against strong current, then thru choppy water, felt like I was in a washing machine...tough going.. 5 sets chins and 4 sets wide grip pull ups, both to failure 2 sets of 30 push ups(standard) jumped 1/2 hr. on trampoline... stopping at various intervals to do squats

I don't know about southern monsters, but I'm going diving next week and hope to catch some nice lobster.
Impressive workout after all that paddling.

Sat. log abs..crunches on stability ball and leg raises
5 sets wide grip pull ups and 5 sets close grip.. all to failure
5 sets decline and 5 sets incline push ups all to failure...rest, then 60 standard push ups
uncounted seated rows with stretch bands using 3 different hand positions
12 minutes of aerobics
now off to beach for 45 minute to 1 hour walk (not in sand today)

Spiney's taste the same. Just no claw meat.
Don't go to failure on the same exercises every workout, Bob. I would back off every other week to the point where I was capable of at least two or three more reps. This will prevent over training and overuse injuries.

What Al said, except about the spiney thingie. ;D You can also do the same thing in a workout. Go to failure, then do a few less on next set, go to failure, etc.

I agree with them other two guys. When you go to failure, you need recovery time:))

I've been posting for past 3 days and when I'm done (all 3 times) I somehow erased what I put in.. so much for fish being brain food.. well for me anyway.. guess my brain is fried.. but I'll try again...
Thanx for the advice..I'll change my routines a bit and give time for recovery when I go to failure...
Been paddling every day.. some fast to out run storms... made it everytime... also fast walk 45 minutes or more everyday
most workouts are kayaking.. but one day did 4 different exercises with stretch bands, 3 sets of each for chest, delts and triceps..
weight still 143lbs. Sue says I'd look better "MANSCAPED"...

I was reading something recently about him.. Is it possible that I read "RIPPED" around 1981... doesn't seem that long ago, but pretty sure it was around then..I think I read 2 or 3 of his books. Man he IS ripped. Today.. morning.. kayaked but mostly fished since fish were close in for 4 hours, so not much paddling workout, but lotsa fish to strain the muscles.. afternoon.. 5 sets wide grip pull ups and 4 sets of other movement on the bar.. sort of reverse push up if that makes any sense. Later walked 50 minutes fast in sand...
