You told me you worked for Boeing awhile back, but for some reason, I thought you retired from aerospace. Oh wait, that was me!
I would have commented on the Plymouth picture, but I ain't got a clue when it comes to cars. Glad you're enjoying yourself and bonding with your son though. I miss having mine close by.

Having Jason around is really great. He is very talented with the welding and has learned a lot about engine building from me and others we have come in contact with. Like anything else cars are a learning processes. Your always learning. Same for working out with weights. The learning never stops. Your workouts look really good on IOL. Hopefully I'll be able to move the overflow out of the weight area so we can get our workout in. We have been trying different things with the Plymouth and I have to clear everything so the little women can park her car in there at night. It's a 3 car garage and fairly well organized, but if we start to stir things it can get out of hand real quick. We also have gym memberships so I could go there if I have to. I a'm giving serious thought to doing the velocity diet. I could stand to lose quit a bit of weight. This looks like the best way of doing it. Being half German I know how to follow orders! It's my kind of diet....no choices. ;D Take care

Well, the velocity diet certainly worked well for some of the IOLers, so I'm reluctant to bad mouth it. However, I must say I'm not in favor of diets, because such a large percentage of people put the weight and more back on when they go back to normal eating. That's why I'm more in favor of finding a clean eating plan that works for you and staying with it.

It's probably better to stick to a clean eating plan, but sure is hard to put in practice some times...most of the time. I still haven't completely decided to it. Didn't buy the stuff from t-nation yet. May end up doing tuna, chicken, egg whites and low cal soup, with some salads. Worked in the past. Today is dead lift day! I can hardly wait! ;D

Today's workout was dead lift centric. We warmed up with the bike and tread mill for 6 minutes.
Squats for a warm up 50 x 10 105 x 10
Dead lift 135 x 5 225 x 5 275 x5 315 x 5 325 x 5 Hey! that felt kind of heavy!!! Jason, want to do another set at 315? NO. OK lets move on...carefully. ;D
Pull downs with neutral grip 75 x 15 95 x 15 115 x 15 That helped get me back to my full height again. Those deads are a tough.
Flat Bench press 40 x 20 96 x 15 135 x 5 2 sets 155 x15
OK, now I'm sweating so I think that's enough for today. ;D Besides I'm a little tired from the dead lifts.

My back felt fine today. It’s actually a little sore from doing one arm cable rows tonight. Today’s workout: I decided to do hack squats instead of regular squats as a change from regular squats. So we started with 45lbs plus 35 for the carriage. Oh my god was that hard. I felt all the work on the muscles at the top of my knee area. It seems to be a weak spot so I will be working it until it catches up. Doing regular squats I go to about parallel, but it doesn’t get the muscles around the knee area very well. So we did 80 x 10 for 4 sets. My legs will probably be sore in that area for a day or so. That’s fine, I learned something in today’s workout.
Next we did flat bench press’ 40 x 20 95 x15 135 x 5 2 sets 185 x 5 185 x 8 2 sets for Jason 185 x 10 2 sets for me.
One arm cable row. 60 x 10 100 x10 120 x10 for 3 sets
Lateral raises 10 x 15 15 x 15 for three sets
Curls 65 x 10 2 sets
It was 80 degrees in the garage tonight and we were sweating our a$$es off. At least it kept my joints warm and less painful.

Dale, Thanks It's a selectorized machine we use that's also for cable crossovers and such. Who knows what the real weigh is. I have used more than that with db's in the past, but this seems easier on my shoulder joints for some reason.

Thanks Al, but your gym sounds a lot hotter. I am not used to the heat anymore. Washington is so mild that going to the hot spots is really tough.
TGIF Warm up for 6 minutes on bike and treadmill. Squats 55 x 10 105 x 10 150 x 10 200 x 10 Hack squats 80 x 10 for 2 sets
Incline db bp 35 x 10 35 x 5 50 x 5 65 x 5 for 5 sets cable crossovers 35 x 15 for 2 sets
neutral pull downs 75 x 15 95 x 15 115 x 15 135 x 15
lateral raises 10 x 15 15 x 15 3 sets
curls 15 dbs 10 reps 85 x 8 for 3 sets
That's it for tonight. Pretty good workout. Hit the hacks again after squats Took 5 ageless growth about an hour before the workout and felt pretty good when I was done.

That looked like a productive one.
It's been incredibly hot here, even for Florida. I wish I could join you for August and September.

Well if you get up this way you are always welcome. I have an extra room with a nice queen sized bed in it. The Bombers Bay is where we hit the iron so it's close for us and not crowed at all.
