I've gone through my kitchen passes for 2008, but if I grovel enough and buy Judy some jewelry, who knows what trips she'll approve for 2009.

Al no time limit on the invitation. If you can ever get up here you are welcome. Monday’s workout 6 minute warm up on bike and treadmill Light squats to help warm up for dead lifts 55 x 10 110 x 10 We use the top squat attachment for squats. Jason doesn’t need it, but he defers to my aching shoulders. Dead lifts 135 x 5 225 x 5 275 x 5 315 x5 for 3 sets Jason wanted to go a little heavier so we loaded the bar with 365 and he did one easy rep with it. Made it look like 135 going up. I was a little distracted tonight by a couple of things that were bugging me or I would have gone a little heavier. Experience has taught me to not over do it if my mind is else where. Also, a little gas was distracting on the heavier sets. Didn't want to include that on IOL, might get a talking to. ;D Next we did incline db bench press 35 x 10 35 x5 50 x 5 65 x5 for 3 sets Could have done a couple more sets but the shoulders were a little creaky tonight. All reps were done slowly to maximize the effect of each rep. Neutral lat pulldowns 75 x 15 95 x15 115 x 15 That was enough for tonight. Deads make my arms longer and me shorter so I stop a little early to make sure I can move tomorrow. took ageless growth again so I felt pretty good when I was done.

Gas and DL's are an interesting combination. I hadraw cabbage yesterday prior to squatting. There was plenty of room around the squat rack:))

I like having gas when I deadlift and squat. It helps my a$$-scent. (I've been waiting to use that one FOREVER!!! )

Good one Al ;D ;D Thursday’s workout: Since we are going to the race track to watch Jason run his car in the 1/8th mile drags tomorrow we decided to make this a two workout week. Fairly heavy deads on Monday and heavier legs and bench today, so the week works for a little muscle stimulation. Warm up with 6 minutes of bike and treadmill. I do the bike and Jason does the treadmill. Squats with the top squat attachment. 55 x 10 105 x 10 150 x 10 200 x 10 200 x 10 By the way it was 82 tonight and I was in a real bad mood from work. >:(That’s always a big help when your working out…not! Took 4 ageless growth tonight cause 5 on Monday kept me too alert when I wanted to go to sleep. Flat bench press: 40 x 20 85 x 15 135 x 5 135 x 5 185 x 5 185 x 5 for Jason 10 for me 185 x 5 for Jason and 10 for me! I win!! ;D Jason is still stronger for his weight. Neutral pull downs 75 x 15 95 x 15 115 x 15 I should have done more but with my mood I had about all I wanted to do for one night. Not the best week mood wise, but the numbers are ok. Oh well, next week may be better. Bruce

So that ageless growth acts as a stimulant? What's in it?
You know, when you want to shake a bad mood, sometimes the best thing to do is a circuit with fast cardio intervals between exercises. Gets the endophins flowing; then you no longer give a sh*t.

I'll copy and past the ingredients Ingredients in six capsules: 3600 mgs of Ageless Synergy Blend (a blend of Glycerophosphocholine, L-Arginine and St. John's Wort) Niacin 100 mg Vitamin B 300 mg
Thanks for the advice on the mood thing.
How was your dive?

Hey Bruce & Jason! I salute you both for working out and baring all! Is Jason another old goat or a younger goat WO partner? ;>) As Al says endorphins = no longer giving a poop (can we say that here?) = :>) As far as being ignored, and from what I've seen, that will not happen here. The converse to that of course is, there are some places (I won't mention any 3 letter initials) where that may be the better optrion! Pete out & into da pool

Hoboken, Jason is my son. I know I shouldn't let thing get to me, but some times it happens. I think there are only a few people on another forum that are knowledgeable. The rest just follow the leader. Sometimes you walk off a cliff doing that. I have a lot of real world experience, but many would rather believe what they read in a magazine. That's their choice. ;D

Jason went this past Friday and made a number of passes. He was spinning a lot off the line so he lowered the tire pressure just before his first real run and bogged off the line. He couldn't make up the distance so that was that for the night. He hasn't raced in quite a while so he is still a little rusty. No money involved so it's really no big deal. He had me look at his slicks Sunday and I told him to buy new ones as these are pretty beat. About $200 each and he needs new inner tubes. Not sure what they cost.
Sunday he realized his push rods are hitting the cylinder heads where they pass through to the lifters, so they have to come off and some grinding will have to be done for clearance. It's a live and learn thing. Only wasted a couple head gaskets, so it's not a big deal. That's on the new engine that isn't in the car yet. It should have about 650 hp and about 550 at the wheels. That will be about 150 more than he has now.
Fun and games building and racing cars. You need to be strong to lift all that stuff too!

I grew up around and in the HOT ROD days. My first car was a 65 Mustang 289 GT fast back - GOLD BLOCK - 245 HP. My second car - dad ordered me a 74 Z-28 350 - 375 HP. I loved drag racing! Marriage & kids changed all that. It all sounds like fun Bruce.

Very nice, you must be very proud of Jason then! Re: 3 letter Forum that starts with an "I" - I know exactly what you're talking about and I agree with how you feel about it believe me Brother! Got a '07 Stang w/ blower myself. Lotsa HP to spare however I regret not having installed the HP personally as you men have!! It's much more satisfying when it's the fruit of your labors! I also regret the price 'o gas right about now but that's a whole 'nuther story there. Thank God I have a Merc Sable to fall back on for doing errands. A lot better mileage!
I can relate to the aches & pains on squatting. Last night I did a swim WO due to a sore left ankle. Can you say shuffle across the flo' like one of Tim Conway's characters after gettin' outta bed?! Oh yeah, but it's a sweet pain which let's you know your alive!! ;>)
I've got a double- top of the knee pain goin' on that's not going away soon if at all at this point. I got an InZane Leg Blaster though so, if the knees don't go right, I just haul myself up and get an upper body thrill to boot. Installed a chain and handles gizmo on it to facilitate (FunknWagnall) holding on to the center post on the "Blaster" as I make my a$$-scent ;>) Stay pos on the workouts now Bruce & Jason!
For jasony: Ahhhh, cabbage, it's wots fa breakfast! Why, itz even good fer yer heart as they say!!

Hey, we don't allow none of that dirty talk around here!!! If you want a lot of attention on IOL, find the time to visit a lot of logs. People usually feel obligated to respond after you've visited and encouraged them a few times. Always works for me...in fact it's worked so well, I'm going to cut back on my posts there because I'm getting overwhelmed. Nice to see you again, Pete. Why don't you start a log here? We won't ignore you. We might make fun of you and remind you how nuts you are, but you'll never get ignored...even if you do make our heads spin.
