If I ever get to Vegas again, you have to turn me onto some of the stuff you've been smoking, Pete.

OK guys go to a neutral corner.... Monday's workout. To tired to post it last night. Worked my butt off in the house and yard over the weekend, plus worked 6 hr OT. on Saturday. Usual warm up for 6 minutes on bike and treadmill Light warm ups squats for the deads 55 x 10 100 x 10 Deads 135 x 5 225 x 5 for 5 sets light night cause i was tired and we had two weeks fairly hard before on deads. Chest Cable crossovers. I got the machine and I am going to use it. I feel it more in my chest than the flat bench. 35 x 15 35 x 15 40 x 15 40 x 15 lateral raises 10 x 15 15 x 15 for three sets I like the higher reps on the single joint exercises cause it's a little easier on the joints and I feel it more. Some guys like low reps on these and that's OK if your doing the work with the muscle and not just swinging the weight. One arm cable rows 60 x 10 80 x 10 100 x 10 120 x 10 120 x 10 concentration curls 3 sets of 10 with 25 lb dbs. I like these cause I get a good muscle connection with them. If you do them reasonable strict you get a good bicep work out. Part of the workout is moving a bunch of stuff out of the work out area and from between the crossover machine. I moved Jason's engine out. It's on a stand, but still heavy. My table saw and a couple benches and assorted things that get stuck in the workout area. A real dual purpose area. Took 5 ageless growth and felt a little better when I was working out and not to tired after I was done. That's it for tonight. One thing on the estrogen subject: I was looking for Fomestane on the INTERNET and don't see it available anymore. That stuff worked fairly good. I got stronger when I was using it. Luckily I still have a whole bottle of it left. ;D

Good job listening to your body, Bruce. I find taking a backoff week with lots of high-rep stuff every third week or so really helps my central nervous system recover, and I emerge stronger than I was before.
Keep us abreast on your use of the estrogen blockers (get it? a-breast, estrogen blocker? never mind), because I'd like to use one I don't need a prescription for.

Thanks for your restraint Pete. ;D
Thursdays workout:
Usual warm up.
Squats 55 x 10 110 x 10 150 x 10 200 x 10 1 set for me, 2 for Jason.
Bench press flat 40 x 20 95 x 10 135 x 5 135 x 5 185 x 5 205 x 5 205 x 8 for me 1 for Jason he could feel a little pain in one shoulder joint. Motor cycle accident I think. Lucky for me when I fall off the motorcycle I land on my head so nothing of value gets hurt. Plus I am German, Irish and Italian so my head is like titanium.
Laterals 10 x 15 15 x 15 for 3 sets
Pull downs 75 x 15 95 x 15 115 x 15 135 x 15
tri bomber press downs 60 x 15 80 x 15 100 x 15 x 3 sets
Then we had to move a bunch of stuff around so that we could get the car in the garage with the long bike rack on the back. Luckily the garage is 26 feet deep in the middle.
Of to Leavenworth, WA for a few days. It's a Bavarian theme town. Pretty nice and it will be good to get away.

If Bavarian theme means good stick-to-your ribs food and lots of beer, I'm sure you'll have a great weekend. Be safe.

Al, We ate mostly Italian food in Leavenworth. Linda doesn't like the smell when we go in the German restaurants. Me, I'm easy, there is a great Italian place there so we ate there 3 times! Tonights workout was going to be real easy.... Warm up the usual. Squats 55 x 10 150 x 10 200 x 10 220 x 10 A little more than usual. But not to bad. Flat bench 40 x 20 95 x15 135 x 5 135 x 5 185 x 5 185 x 4 for Jason 205 x 6 for me. That was enough of those, lots of little aches and pains in the shoulder area. Nothing serious, but kind of annoying. Cable rows 60 x 10 80 x 10 100 x 10 I usually do 3 sets with 120 but my right shoulder was aching so I stopped here. Curls, been meaning to do these more often, despite what those on IOL say. 40 x 10 65 x10 85 x 10 95 x 10 for Jason 8 for me. 2 sets. Felt pretty good. Yikes, I'm sweating! That's it for tonight. Not a bad workout, but I had a lot of aches in my right shoulder area. Might be the damp weather. I was doing better when it was hotter and dry. Bruce

I can't get over how many guys on IOL buy into the b.s. that you can build well developed arms without curling. I can understand them saying heavy compounds like bench presses and rowing can help your cause, but when they say it can be done with squats and deadlifts, I want to jump through the screen and strangle someone. What a crock!
