Actually, getting paid for doing who you love is a lot better, Jason.
Sounds like you had a nice weekend, Colleen. Glad your stamina is picking up.

I hope it is, Al. I'm sure struggling to keep some consistency with the workouts. Everyone faces this at some time - I know a lot of my clients do, so I'm just trying to do what I always tell them.......do what you can, when you can. Schedules will get worked out and things will settle down eventually.

I hear ya, Colleen--been struggling with consistency myself this last year or so.
Anyone who can hoof a mountain like you do, I know has the will to pull it together:))

I have a bit advantage over you two, since I work only 18 hours a week. The downside, of course, is you have to be old before you can (semi) retire.

OK - little bit of catch up time.
Ran 3 miles last Saturday, followed with 1 mile run/walk cool down.
Hiked Hamilton Mt. on Sunday; 9 miles roundtrip with 2000 elevation gain; approx 4.5hrs.
Got in a workout Wednesday evening. Didn't count sets or reps or lbs - just kept moving.
jump rope intervals mixed with the following: bench presses in smith machine squats in smith (kept them light & fast) sit ups with ball toss on decline bench rowing v-sit with ball toss
Spent about 20 min playing with my new toy - a heavy bag and stand that I got on craigs list for $40. One of my clients has done lots of martial arts, so he's instructing two of us on kicks and punches (no gloves yet, so we started with some balance moves and easy kicks).

Hi Jason - I enjoyed the weekend - but my legs are aching today! April 5th - 40 mile bike ride. Had some trouble with leg cramps after mile 30, fell twice April 6th - Race for the Roses, 5K. A PR for one of my clients and good endurance test for me after the previous day's ride. Now, where did I put those Advil?

Leg cramps = dehydration--falling = hydrating with beer? Congrats to your client on the PR!!! With a trainer like you, I'd expect nothing less:))

A 40 mile bike ride and a 5K. That's 2/3 of a mini triathlon. All you needed was some water for the full shmigeggy. Hmmmm. Did you shower afterwards? Knowing you, probably not. Too bad.
Way to fry those beautiful, long legs, Colleen.
